The END OF the olympics is here and we have thoroughly enjoyed these past few weeks watching the games each night. It's pretty amazing what the human body is capable of doing (their bodies, not ours)....we are perfectly happy just observing!
We have finally gotten to the END OF Dan's mom's dental treatments after thousands of dollars and numerous appointments (I was her chaueffeur) over the past few months. We are all so glad that she is out of discomfort and able to eat easily again.
I have reached the END OF my "absent" civil service duties....I had jury duty this week! This is the first time in my life that I have been able to serve when called and I was really looking forward to the whole experience. There were 3 cases on the schedule on the first day. One person changed their plea, one person accepted a plea bargain and the last case was granted a continuance. California has a one day/one trial jury duty system so my service was over at 10am and all I had done was read my book.
We are almost to the END OF Gavin's visit for the summer....I promise I'll get some pictures before he goes! We played rummy tiles during dinner last night which none of us had done in years....very fun! Gav and I got stumped making cookies last night ....they didn't turn out at all like they were supposed to and we still have no idea what happened! I'm sure we'll CHOKE them down anyway.
We miss you!
